What’s Involved in the Programme?

  • Initial Nutritional Assessment and Bio-impedance Analysis (BIA) to provide a baseline record of your weight, BMI, waist measurements, blood pressure and % body fat and muscle mass.

Prior to the first consultation you will be asked to fill out a health questionnaire and a weight loss questionnaire and return them to us before the consultation. During the first consultation which will last for 1 hour we will go through the questionnaires in detail, discuss your health goals and take a BIA assessment to form your baseline record.  You will then receive a report of findings, diet programme and nutritional supplementation recommendations.  In some cases additional laboratory tests may be appropriate.

  • Weekly follow up consultations to include a BIA assessment, coaching and nutritional advice tailored to you needs.
  • 12 week review and report of progress
  • At the end of the 12 weeks you can move on to a maintenance phase if necessary or continue with the programme if you have more weight to lose.

 
What Do I Eat?
Based on your metabolic rate which we identify through the BIA assessment we will devise a nutritionally balanced eating plan to meet your energy requirements. 
No calorie counting is involved – no food packs are used – just healthy, nutritionally balanced eating.  You will be asked to follow a programme which teaches you how to monitor portion sizes and balance the type of foods you eat to maintain stable blood sugar levels, helping you feel fuller for longer. You will be recommended to eat 3 meals a day and 2 snacks.  We will also recommend vitamin and mineral supported protein supplements plus healthy fats to ensure your body is nourished while addressing any underlying imbalances in body function.  The goal the programme is to restore your good health, safely and sensibly. It incorporates lifestyle modifications like smarter eating habits, better fitness, and stress reduction to improve long term health while you lose weight.
